Plot: What’s it about?

Not really a hard plot to figure out, and given the title of the movie, it shouldn’t be. Dumb and Dumber is just that. But in a good way! Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey) and Harry (Jeff Daniels) are two lowlifes who are living in Rhode Island. Lloyd is a limo driver and Harry the owner of “Mutt Cuts”, a kennel and grooming place for dogs. Needless to say, they are both fired for different reasons.

Lloyd mistakenly interferes in the ransom delivery of one of his passengers. She leaves the money for the kidnappers and Lloyd thinks that she left the bag by mistake. The entire movie is centered around Lloyd and Harry going cross country to return Mary Swanson (Lauren Holly) her missing briefcase.

The “fun” of Dumb and Dumber is all that happens in between. They are unknowingly being followed by hired hitmen, the FBI and a ticked off local from Rhode Island who was hit in the head by a salt shaker (thrown by Harry).

The movie is littered with Carrey’s humor and Jeff Daniels shows a real funny side as well. I have really never laughed so hard in my life.

Pick this movie up, laugh a lot the first time and more the next time…It’s an instant classic!

Video: How does it look?

New Line gave this picture the benefit of 16:9 enhancement. The picture is great. Not a sign of any artifact or anything to depreciate the video quality of this movie.

Audio: How does it sound?

While not exactly “Godzilla”, this movie has it’s moments when it comes to sound. It features a great musical soundtrack that sounds great when played. Dialogue is nice and clear as well.

Supplements: What are the extras?

A photo gallery is added in addition to some production notes, a trailer and cast bios. True fans of this movie will love all this in addition to a truly hilarious movie!
