Plot: What’s it about?

Three young women have ventured in the isolated woods of Bacchusville, New Jersey in search of a mythical witch. You see, these woods are rumored to be possessed, as those walking through the area often claim to be overcome, by passion and lustful urges. Some people believe all the talk is simply jibber-jabber, but some folks believe it is the power of The Erotic Witch herself. Although many reports have been filed, there is no real evidence that she exists, which is why these three beautiful women have come to Bacchusville. Darian (Darian Caine), Victoria (Victoria Vega), and Katie (Katie Keane) have done their research, packed their bags, and brought along their cameras, all in the hopes of uncovering the truth about The Erotic Witch. As they travel through the woods, Darian begins to feel a powerful rush of erotic pleasure, as she tingles and aches to touch someone else, even if it is Katie. At first Katie resists, but soon the two are consumed with lust and locked in a passionate union, but is this simple lust or is The Erotic Witch involved somehow? As the girls continue to be entranced with having sex with each other, it seems as though the answer will soon become quite clear indeed…

Of course, this is a sex laced spoof of The Blair Witch Project and if you ask me, it offers much more entertainment in the end. This was the film that put Seduction Cinema on the map and it’s easy to see why, as it is filled with humor and of course, very hot ladies engaged in lesbian encounters. This is not your usual erotic cinema however, as director John Bacchus and his fellow writers have put together a humorous picture as well, which makes it even better. You’ll even find an escaped gorilla in this picture and if that’s not enough, he even picks up a camera and films a lesbian scene, complete with simian sound effects. The main cast is three chicks and Seduction Cinema sure picked the right ones, with Katie Keane and Victoria Vega on deck. But the shining performance belongs to Darian Caine, who as always, is smoldering and lights up the screen. She looks awesome as always and as also as per usual, her humor is more than welcome. This is a wild and very fun flick and since Seduction Cinema has issued a terrific disc, I am giving this a very high recommendation, as no one that’s interested should miss this release.

Video: How does it look?

The Erotic Witch Project is presented in a full frame transfer, as intended. This looks terrific and shows no real flaws, aside from the slight grain seen at times, but that’s to be expected in a film of this nature. The darker scenes even look good, which is impressive, if you ask me. The colors seem on the mark and of course, the flesh tones are accurate, which is very needed in a movie of this ilk, to be sure. The black levels seem rich and never overly dark, so plenty of detail is to be seen, especially in those nipple close-ups, I assure you of that. This looks excellent and is much more impressive than I expected, so I am giving it a very high score, which it more than deserves.

Audio: How does it sound?

I wasn’t all that overwhelmed by the included Dolby Digital stereo option, but it handles the material well, so no complaints. The eerie woods sound as creepy as possible, complete with moans and strange gorilla noises, of course. The scope of the track is limited by the stereo form, but in the end, I think all the elements come through well enough. The vocals are rich and crisp throughout, although sometimes the volume dips a little, due to the methods used to capture the audio, which is acceptable because of the approach used here.

Supplements: What are the extras?

As always, Seduction Cinema’s included behind the scenes documentary is great, as it skips all the promotional nonsense. In this fifty minute documentary, you’ll watch as scenes are filmed and that is much more insightful than “talking heads” interviews, to be sure. You can see the girls talking about their roles and approaches to the scenes, as well as director John Bacchus offering direction tips and keeping the show moving ahead, very cool indeed. And of course, even more sex can be found here, since those scenes are well covered within the documentary, just as they should be. This disc also features a selection of still photos, as well as some bonus trailers, though no trailer for this film is included.
